Julie & Barry’s wedding took place on a beautiful autumn day in the East Kootenays at Eagle Ranch Golf Resort in Invermere, BC. The venue is absolutely incredible, nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Range. The ceremony was held on a windy bluff overlooking the vast Columbia Valley, which provided an incredible backdrop for their wedding. We took photos at various locations around the golf course and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Overall this was a wonderful spot for a wedding in British Columbia.
Kate & Greg were married at the Lougheed House in Calgary, Alberta. The Lougheed House is a beautiful historic mansion surrounded by outdoor gardens that create a perfect venue for outdoor wedding ceremonies, and it’s all right in the heart of downtown Calgary. The mansion itself is a sight to behold and provides some great locations for photos, both outside and within! The beautiful “yellow” room features an exquisite Victorian sofa, an antique radiant heater, and the entire room is painted in a subtly intriguing shade of yellowish gold. The bridal bouquet and bridemaids’ flowers were a perfect contrast to the gold hue of the room. Kate & Greg’s ceremony took place at dusk under the fading daylight and their hors d’oeurves party, toasts, and dancing afterwards made for an intimate, special wedding.
Kate & Greg’s first meeting before their ceremony:

Brought tears to my eyes – Kate you are so beautiful – we are talking fashion magazine and ramp at the Milan fashion show. Greg – you look so proud of yourself – like the cat that swallowed that canary – the little boy look in your eyes says it all.
Photos are pure magic, absolute pure magic!!!!!

It looks like you had a beautiful and fun day at an amazing location. Kate you are absolutely breathtaking! Congratulations!
Absolutely gorgeous, as usual-beautiful couple and a beautiful job by Erica and hubby as usual-thank you for capturing my friends special day so beautifully!
We had a great time photographing the beautiful wedding of Linda & Regis recently in Calgary. They were married at a private home in a lovely garden with the Calgary city skyline as its backdrop. It was a gorgeous location for the wedding, and after the ceremony, there was a champagne toast for everyone along with an exquisite selection of hors d’oeuvres. Everyone in the family, along with the couple’s friends were so nice, we were honored to be a part of their special day. We took some wedding photos around Calgary at a few locations, including Stephen Avenue Mall. The couple’s reception was held in Calgary at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel in the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion. Across the world, the Fairmont brand runs some of the most prestigious hotels, and the Palliser is no exception. It is a beautiful venue and their attention to details and service is second to none. The Pavilion at the Fairmont Palliser is an amazing place for a wedding reception. Underneath the domed, atrium windows, the daylight faded into night and a fabulous wedding day came to a close.
Thank you Linda & Regis, we wish you all the best. ~ JP & Erica
We met up with Casey & Dustin in Bragg Creek to do their engagement photos. We started off at a small lake in Bragg Creek Provincial Park and finished the session at Elbow Falls. It turned about to be a beautiful day! The Bragg Creek area and Elbow Falls are great locations for an engagement photo session. We are really looking forward to photographing Cassandra & Dustin’s wedding next summer at the Cochrane RancheHouse.
The wedding of Tanah & Kieren was a true celebration of love and touched the lives of family and friends alike. We were honored to be a part of this joyous day and to meet such incredible people. Nakoda Lodge, being quite an incredible venue, was a perfect match as the location for their ceremony. Surrounded by family and friends, nestled in the heart of the Kananaskis, and with the Rocky Mountains as their backdrop, Tanah and Kieren were married on a beautiful summer’s day in July. Tanah is from Calgary and has traveled the world studying and volunteering. She was studying at YWAM bible school in New Zealand when she met Kieren, who is a New Zealander. They both had an instant connection and through time they knew that they were destined for one another. When they decided to marry, they made a vow not to kiss for an entire 16 months prior to the wedding, so their kiss at the end of the ceremony was extra special. We had such a great time getting to know Tanah & Kieren and some of their friends and family.
The wedding reception was held at the Valley Ridge Golf Course in Calgary and the theme was all things New Zealand & Canada. Their guest favours were Kiwi fruits adorned by mini black bow ties with the couple’s name and wedding date inscribed. At the reception, there were numerous events such as table questions featuring New Zealand trivia, team relay races in which everyone had to finish a spoonful of Marmite, and timed quizzes to figure out the names of New Zealand sports clubs. Perhaps the most powerful moment, aside from the very touching speeches, was when the guys from the wedding party and a few unsuspecting volunteers from the audience performed a Haka dance for everyone. The Haka is a sacred traditional dance of New Zealand’s indigenous Maori people that has become a symbol for all of New Zealand. The Haka has been adopted by New Zealand’s rugby team the All Blacks, and performed before matches in front of the opposing team. Kieren, his brother, and friends from New Zealand, being devout fans of the All Blacks, and true Kiwis themselves, wanted to perform the Haka for the wedding guests. It was quite a spectacle. Having been to New Zealand for our honeymoon, and seen the Haka danced by Maoris in person, we can fairly say that Kieren’s rendition was very powerful and moving. You can see below we have put a short video clip from the wedding, and also a link to the Haka being performed by New Zealand’s All Blacks rugby team.
On the first day of their Honeymoon in Hollywood, Natalia and Stephen attended The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and were pulled from the audience for his opening skit! We are honored that Stephen mentioned that “we had really good photographers” around the 2-minute mark. Thank you!
You guys were so cute!
