From capturing the important details to the unexpected moments
our photojournalistic approach means we are unobtrusive
while documenting and recording the special
memories of your day. We combine our candid coverage of the
wedding events with fashionable portraits of the bride and
groom for a complete and contemporary record of your wedding.

We primarily work in Calgary, Vancouver, the Kootenays, and the
greater Washington DC area. We are also available for travel.

Here are some photos we don't have time to blog about yet but
we wanted you to see...

We are back!

Well we are back from our 6 week hiatus! Actually we have been back for a little while now but too busy to keep up with blogging. We did a couple of photoshoots while we were away, and hopefully I will find some time to post those soon. In the meantime we will have a great new feature coming soon on this blog - a slideshow to share what we have done lately but have not had time to put together an official blog post for.  Stay tuned for that, it should be ready in about a week.

Here are just a few of the thousands of photos we took from our trip to Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. It was an awesome time.

Heading Down Under

We are off on our “honeymoon” to Sydney, Auckland & Fiji. Yes it has been over 2 years since we were married but we never got a chance to go and we had always planned on Australia. We finally have the opportunity to go this Spring and will be gone for about 6 weeks. We will be checking emails and phone messages while we are away but it may take longer than usual to get back to you. Email would be the best way to reach us weddings@taitphoto.com

We have a few photoshoots planned so I hope to update the blog if I can get a good Internet connection.

See you in June!

Las Vegas - Photo Shoot - Part 1

While I was in Vegas this month for my annual photography convention I got together with some of my photog friends for a shoot at the “Neon Graveyard” - the final resting place for retired neon signs. They make for some awesome backgrounds.

Check out this short video I put together from the video I and still pictures I captured. It was a bit windy but it made for some excellent movement in the photos.

Here are a couple of still images that appeared in the video:
