On the first day of their Honeymoon in Hollywood, Natalia and Stephen attended The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and were pulled from the audience for his opening skit! We are honored that Stephen mentioned that “we had really good photographers” around the 2-minute mark. Thank you!
You guys were so cute!
[...] Once again Craig Ferguson surprised me last night with some excellent music on his show. I had neve…ellent music on his show. I had never seen or even heard of Trombone Shorty before, but I really [...]

We could not have asked for a more special wedding to be a part of than Natalia & Stephen’s wedding in Vancouver. It was a beautiful celebration of family and friends, along with a traditional Orthodox Christian ceremony. Natalia and Stephen met during elementary school in grade 6, and they started dating a few years later. Their love has survived the test of time and the wedding was the start of their new life together. The ceremony took place at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Vancouver and included the traditional orthodox crowning. It was a very beautiful ceremony with a lot of meaningful words spoken and an amazing choir. The reception was held near the Great Lawn at the spectacular UBC Botanical Gardens. We had the opportunity to take some photographs along the Greenheart Canopy Walkway in the Botanical Gardens. The campus at UBC is gorgeous and very intertwined with nature. The reception speeches were very touching, especially from the bride’s father who reminded everyone to be true to their authentic selves. Many of the wonderful details and elements at the wedding were handmade by Natalia.

Fifty feet above the forest floor, Natalia and Stephen navigated the entire Greenheart Canopy Walkway at the UBC Botanical Garden.

The flower girl’s kissing ball / pomander was hand-made by the bride.

The ceremony took place at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Vancouver. The lighting inside was beautiful.
The crowns in an Orthodox Wedding symbolize the bride & groom as the King and Queen of their home, their own kingdom.

Colorful fans for the reception | Plants were used for seating arrangements and guest favors.

Guests wrote personal sentiments for the bride & groom and hung them on the Wishing Tree.

The father of the bride made a touching speech.

Anna & Eugene’s day started with traditional Chinese door games. When the groomsmen arrived at Anna’s parents house, the bridesmaids blocked the door and presented the groom with several challenges. These games included the groom completing a complex engineering formula and also singing an entire song at the top of his lungs. After Eugene successfully completed all of the tasks, he was free to retrieve his bride. Next there was a Chinese tea ceremony and afterwards everyone headed to the wedding at the First Baptist Church in Calgary. Anna’s bridemaids helped her get changed into her white wedding dress before the ceremony. After the ceremony, the wedding party went around a few locations in downtown Calgary for photos. The reception and incredible banquet were held at Forbidden City Restaurant in Calgary.

Carly & Patrick were married on a lovely spring day in April 2011 during the National Cherry Blossom festival in Washington DC. The ceremony took place inside the Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart, located in the Dahlgren Quadrangle on the campus of Georgetown University. After the ceremony, we took wedding photos around the beautiful campus of Georgetown University, including the front side of Healy Hall. There are so many fantastic photo opportunities at the campus and surrounding in downtown Georgetown. The reception was held at the Old Ebbitt Grill, the famous historic Washington restaurant located next to the White House.
The groom and his groomsmen got ready at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel on Lee Highway in Arlington, VA. The Key Bridge Marriott is in a perfect spot located in Roslyn, just a quick 5 minute drive across Key Bridge to Georgetown.

The bride and bridesmaids had their hair & makeup done at Jon David Salon in Arlington, Virginia.

The ceremony was in the Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University.
Their ceremony was officiated by Father Alexei Michalenko who had some very beautiful words to say during the service.

We absolutely loved the wonderful color scheme of the wedding, with dresses and flowers in shades of champagne and aubergine. The florist for the wedding was Jill Medawar at Toulies en Fleur Floral Design.
We took more photos outside of Healy Hall on campus at Georgetown University. So many amazing spots for photography around the gorgeous campus!

The couple’s wedding reception was at the famous Old Ebbitt Grill, a fabulous restaurant and the oldest “Saloon” in Washington DC (founded in 1856).
The wedding cocktail hour was on the rooftop of the Old Ebbitt Grill, which looks out to beautiful views of Washington DC, including a direct view of the White House (with accompanying Sniper on the rooftop of course!).
There was also a nice view of the Washington Monument.
Here are some more beautiful floral arrangements by Toulies en Fleur Floral Design.

DJ services provided by Michael Tate from Chris Laich Music Services.

The Wedding Cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake were delicious!
Thanks again to Carly & Patrick for letting us be part of the special day, we had a really fun time with all of the great family and friends. It was a beautiful wedding.
